Excuses and Updates

Hello my lovely and neglected readers. I'm sorry I haven't been posting lately. It's been a crazy summer. I'm sure many, if not all of you are also busy. I know it's not much of an excuse since you've managed to keep me updated with the goings on in your life. So, we'll leave it at, I just haven't been inspired to post.

But life, in spite of me not posting, has been moving on. LOL.

I've been training like mad for my walk. Plus, making sure I have all my gear. And you may think that making sure you have clothes, shoes, blister kit, socks, sun block, etc isn't that big of a deal. And you would be right. Except for the fact, that I have to walk 20 miles in them. And the last place you want to deal with:

* a shirt that has a rubbed your underarm raw
* sunblock that has caused an allergic reaction
* having to go to the bathroom from something you ate or drank
* any other random thing that can go wrong

is when you're at mile 8 and have a long way to go. So, it's been a form of self discovery for the last few months.

Plus, the other odds and ends you have to organize just to get away for a few days.

I'm hoping that I'll be up to posting more soon. But I thank you all for sticking around. Enjoy your weekend!!!

Wow a 20 mile walk!!! I am in awe. I am currently doing a "couch to 5k" in hopes of doing a 5k one of these days.

Can't wait to hear how it goes.

Blessings,
Ana

Actually it's 20 miles a day for three days in a row. Hence the 3-Day walk. It's been quite an interesting time training for it.

You'll be able to do it. Just start walking. Then when you can walk it, try running for a straight away or a block or something. Then walk. Then run. And so forth. Before you know it, you'll be running the entire thing.

I'm sure you'll do it!

Thanks for reading.

I know about rawness; I nearly lost half a nipple in a half marathon (gross I know).

You don't need to apologize for not been around, life happens.

Continue to enjoy your summer! And happy training my dear ;-)
